The Ekka

Mikey and I went to "The Ekka" on Saturday. "The Ekka" is the Aussie slang for the exhibition. We had 2 days off of school because it is such a big event. I had no idea what to expect and Michael hadn't been there since he was a little kid. We had a blast walking around from about noon until about 10:30pm. Wewent to and did all of the highlights that Michael used to do when he was a kid....

The show bags are the hit items to buy at the Ekka. When Michael was a kid, he and his brother were not allowed to go to the show bag pavilion until the end of the day because they would never leave there.

We went to the Ekka on the last day so it was an extra special night for fireworks.

Exhausted but we had such a fun day being kids again!

We will miss you Uncle Randy!

As some of you may already know, we lost one of the most important people in our lives on Tuesday morning about 7:20am. Uncle Randy was my sisters God Father whom I looked at as a second father to me. He was my Dads very best friend which makes it hard to see someone so close to my Dad leave us. I spoke with him on Sunday and he seemed to be very jolly watching his football game. I was very happy to hear him so upbeat and the last thing I said to him was, "I love you and I will check in with you soon". I was quite shocked to hear the sad news from my parents on Wednesday morning (my time), but Uncle Randy has been battling cancer for long enough and we are happy to say he is in a better place now. Please keep his family, especially his daughter, Liz in your prayers!

Our New Blog

Hi everyone! I am so very excited to have a blog! My girlfriend, McCall has a blog and it makes it so easy for me to be updated with how she is going, so I thought Michael and I would start one so you can keep up with us and our ever changing lives. I will try to update often, but it is up to you to keep on checking to be sure I am not too slack. Please write comments too! XOXO Little J and M
